New Year, Clean Slate!

Today dawns the first day of the new year! And more than empty resolutions and a betterment campaign, I keep thinking of new mercies. Not because today is technically different than any other day, but because of the newness that it stands for. So today of this first frigid day of 2016 enjoy your family, spend the day in gratitude for all you have and all you hope to accomplish this year. And then think on the beauty of this.... And know that you are starting your year, your day, with a clean slate!

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

From all of us here on the Alley, we hope you had a very blessed Christmas and we are looking forward to sharing the new year with you!!!

Thank you, Amy. Yes, it really is a new year, and we really do need to leave what is behind and press on. Thanks for all your help this past year.

Thanks Amy. And although the air is brisk, it smells fresh. A blessing from God.

I love a clean slate. <3 And mercies fresh and new this first morning of 2016 just like the last morning of 2015. Thank you for these encouraging words as always. I so love coming here.
