Laurie here! Today, I'm hosting my writing sister Jaime Jo Wright to celebrate the release of her novella, "The Cowgirl's Lasso," part of The Cowboy's Bride collection from Barbour.
Good thing she loves me, because this is my very first video interview, and there are some things you should know:
- Somehow the intro to my video didn't make it to YouTube (??)
- My face is Oompa Loompa orange for some reason
- I had to delete a part where we lost it in uncontrollable laughter. Like crying laughter.
Thanks for visiting The Writer's Alley, Jaime Jo! Isn't she fun? AND she's a great gift giver :) Leave a comment below for a chance to win a copy of The Cowboy's Bride Collection and some coffee! If you want more Jaime Jo fun, she and her co-authors are partying all day in their Facebook release party here!
About The Cowgirl's Lasso:
Jonah Sparks thought he hired a foreman not a dictator, but when the firecracker CJ Matheson rides in to lasso the pieces of his mismanaged, New Mexico ranch, Jonah is ready to call it quits. She wasn’t supposed to be pretty. She wasn’t supposed be a she.

About Jaime Jo:
Professional coffee drinker Jaime Jo Wright resides in the hills of Wisconsin. She loves to write spirited turn-of-the-century romance, stained with suspense. Her day job finds her as a Director ofSales & Development. She’s wife to a rock climbing, bow-hunting Pre-K teacher, mom to a coffee-drinking little girl, and a little boy she fondly refers to as her mischievous “Peter Pan”. Jaime completes her persona by being an admitted social media junkie and coffee snob. She is a member of ACFW and has the best writing sisters EVER!
Her next novella, "Gold Haven Heiress," part of the California Gold Rush Romance Collection, releases from Barbour Publishing in August 2016.

How fun is this?! I'm so going to have to come back and watch this later, because I KNOW this one is going to be great between you two!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I LOVE it when I think of something (like your hero being British), and then researching and finding it actually fits with the setting! Such confirmation. Thanks for this fun video, girls!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, that was awesome. I am so looking forward to reading this!
ReplyDeleteLove it! So excited about this release and so happy for Jaime!
ReplyDeleteLove it! So excited about this release and so happy for Jaime!
ReplyDeleteHOW fun! :) Loved this so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks ya'll!!! What a fun interview to do. Of course if Laurie posted the blooper reel (please don't), then it would have been an adventure! :)
ReplyDeleteSUCH a fun interview! I loved hearing your answers, Jaime! Laurie, you're a great interviewer. Jaime, we have some things in common—love coffee, dark chocolate and waffles. And would it be weird to have three different kinds of breath mints in my "beg?" :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new release (and I loved hearing about "the call" in Jose's. ;) )
Loved hearing you today, Jaime and Laurie!
I love the video!! Jaime, your fun personality shines through just like in your writing. I especially love the story of when/where you got the email about the contract. Cute! Congrats, again, on the release. Just LOVE The Cowgirl's Lasso!
ReplyDeleteI just love reading stories that have a cowboy theme! I also liked reading the interview. It was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteInteresting fact about the British Ranchers in New Mexico. I look forward to reading this book. It is on my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteDid someone say British hero?!?
ReplyDeleteI'm all for that!!
And orange looks fabulous on you, Jaime!!
SO GLAD to have you here on the Alley!!
What a FUN video! Happy release day to you, Jaime!
ReplyDeleteJaime,
ReplyDeleteBtw, you have a really cute accent. What's a beg? ;-)
Because...you know, we don't have accents 'round hyere.
This was fun! :) I like how you write your story in your head during your boring day job meetings. ;) That cracked me up. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your encouragement and fun!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the video! Jaime, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so excited for you.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see you and hear you! I love the video and can't wait to read the collection!!
