Welcome to The Writers Alley, Dahhhhlings.
As a foretaste of the festive era of romance next week, this weekend post is devoted to…
Diamonds.
After all, aren’t diamonds a girl’s best friend?
Or chocolate. But that’s probably for NEXT week. This week is the week to dream big, go for the goal, enjoy some sparkle.
Send a manuscript in for ACFW’s Genesis contest? Hmmm….now we’re talkin’ big dreams, eh? If you need some tips about that, check with Sarah – who FINALED in the Genesis in 2010.
And learn more about the Genesis here.http://www.acfw.com/genesis
Now, more sparkle?
Well, we have a little surprise to hand out to two winners.
That Certain Spark goes to Renee Ann
And the winner of The Preacher’s Bride: Pensees
Congrats winners!!

Note to remember:
The LORD their God will save his people on that day as a shepherd saves his flock. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.
Zachariah 9:16
Aw, Pepper, you themed on diamonds and then you're giving away books?? Now I know we all love to read but...
ReplyDeleteActually I think I'm more expecting the books than the gems this holiday... :)
Gems are lovely, but...
ReplyDeleteThe cost.
But chocolate, however, an entire luscious bar for less than a dollar. Sigh.
Books too, Julia - I don't expect diamonds, but I'm not a jewelry gal. A dinner out, where I don't have to cook or clean up - now THAT'S a fantastic gift!!! :-)
Love the bling! Makes me think of polishing those contest entries until they shine with the brilliance of a diamond. I wish all those entering the Genesis the very best.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to next week's posts.
Ooohh, I love Keli's comment about polishing contest entries!
ReplyDeleteI'd be willing to give my meteorologist a diamond if they'd stop sending snow and ice. Another 2-4 inches today. Ugh. Oh wait, the Big Meteorologist upstairs is in charge of that. Hmm, guess I need to be thankful. :)
What a great weekend edition. Have to agree with Keli, I'm into bling too! Always sounds like a good week on the Alley!!
ReplyDeleteExciting posts served up for this week. Can't wait:)
ReplyDeleteFaaaabulous week planned, ladies! And a great weekend edition, Pepper!
ReplyDeleteYou should check out the chocolate decadence picture over at my blog from Friday's post. muahahaha...
Keli,
ReplyDeleteI'm still tossing around the idea of the Genesis...while polishing.
Whew. I think polishing a diamond would be a LOT easier
Thanks, Ralene.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to check out your chocolate.
Yum
I guess I should have mentioned it's my shared blog:
