What's Up The Street For Next Week?

!!!!Happy New Year!!!!

Oh. My. Goodness. Where did the last year go?? We are now sitting in the midst of a fresh new year with endless possibilities. As Anne would say her ever cheery voice: "Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it-yet"

What a promise! God gives us a new year every 365 days to start out completely fresh.

And to CELEBRATE the new year I have gifts to go along with the confetti!!! Leave a comment for your chance to win: Hatteras Girl by Alice J. Wisler and Amy Inspired by Bethany Pierce

We can't let the last year slip away without reminiscing on some of our favorite 2010 posts. Everything from Characters Are Like Peanut Butter to How a CPA Writes a Novel to Writing in the Nooks and Crannies of Life we've had a great year! And we would love to know what your favorite post was! Do share. :-)

We ring in the New Year in style with posts on what we all hope to be doing a great deal of in the coming months...WRITING!

Pepper: In the Beginning: How Our Stories Begin. She has been polling and collecting data like a detective, so be on the watch for the first post of the year when Pepper brings us info on a how a great story begins.

Sherrinda: Promises for the new year. Do you make them? Are you a resolution person? Sherrinda will help you get your priorities straight her post on resolutions for writers.
Mary: A pinch of this, a dash of that, a great deal of stirring and voila you have Christian Fiction Well Blended

Casey: Emotive fiction can be challenging and draining to write. How can you take those moments of pain or joy and squeeze them into your manuscript? Leave the fear of emotion behind and swing by to visit.

Krista: Life is riddled with disappointments, but how can you take those moments and turn them into something inspiring, something that can be used to move our fiction forward? Krista will enlighten!

We've hosted some wonderful guests on the Alley as well in the last year. Pepper interviewed Mary Conneally and Casey, Angela Hunt. Did you have a favorite guest?

News Stand:

Sarah has an article coming out in Ungrind this month, The Patchwork of Humanity

Also, check out her blog for a chance at winning a $10 Amazon gift card!

What's better than a goodly (is that word? It is now!) hero? Check out another of our favorites from the archives, Romancing the Blog: The Heroic Hero

Casey is currently giving away Ozark Weddings by Janice Thompson and Anita Higman on her blog

We have been blessed with Unexpected Gifts this year on the Alley. Check out just one post from the archives.

Mary's blog announces a new feature just in time for the year! Missionary Mondays, journey back in time with some of the world's most inspiring missionaries and first up: Gladys Aylward

Julia has a guest post devotional up today at Reflections in Hindsight as you ring in the new year.

We here at the Alley are so very thankful for the support you have given us this year. We haven't even been doing this a year and already have been blessed and changed from our very first post. I think I speak for all of us when I say that this journey has been made richer through the joy (and some trials) we have shared together. THANK YOU for the gift you have given us with your comments, your friendship and the support. May your new year be rich in the promises God has for His children.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

  3. Happy New Year to all the Alley Gallies!

No, that was not a typo. I know what galleys are. They're something I hope each of you Alley Gallies receives in the near future--following First Sales, of course. =)
