What's Up the Street For Next Week?

Tis the season to be snotty – Aaachoooo!

So as medicine for this tissue-laden type of year, we have some homemade hot chocolate and great reading materials to offer you. Don’t forget a cozy fireplace, a thick quilt, and your favorite snuggle-partner. Sigh. I love the picture that conjures up.

Even if you have to combine the chocolate with cough medicine – hey, a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down ;-)

This week we start at the ‘ending ‘ of your story with Pepper’s post on Monday – Happily Ever After? Are you sure?

To Mary’s Wednesday post, Winter Storm Writing

And Casey's Special GUEST on Thursday with Tricia Goyer.

Stop by and Check out our week.

Leave a comment today for your chance to win Colleen Coble’s newest novel, The Lightkeeper’s Bride.

Well, in upstate NY "winter storm writing" will come in extra handy!

I bet. My kids were so diappointed this morning when we woke up with a dusting of snow. It was just enough to make you mad :-)

Hey Mary, I need to get a picture of you up on that Alley Cats pic. It should REALLY be on our blog, don't you think. It's awesome!!

Casey said...

I LOVE that pic that Mary put together! So great!!! Great weekend post Pep, I would have offered to do it for you, but by the time I realized you hadn't emailed it was too late and I was running like crazy with my jewelry at a bazaar today.

Julia, LOVE the first few snows, hope we can go sledding this year. :D

Oh boy, we're going through the tissue boxes like mad in our house. And the snow is falling outside...just beautiful.

Look forward to another fun week with you ladies!

Sarah,
Hope everyone feels better.

Pepper,
I know what you mean, my kids so love the snow! Me, not so much!

Casey,
Yes, love sledding!! We'll have to go do that! And getting a tree is so much more fun when there's snow on the ground. See, I'm trying to be an optimist :)

Driving the car through unplowed side streets is like riding a bronco in a rodeo....Yee Haw!!

The Lightkeeper's Bride? That conjours up some interesting thoughts about what a light keeper does. Is it magical or a historical?
All our snow has gone for now and we've had rain, but it felt magically Christmassy just for a couple of days. :O)

Amber,
Your name is on the list :-)

Madeleine,
It was a GREAT book! Beautifully written, but by Colleen Coble - of course it's beautifully written & intriguing.

Pepper said...

I think I might have to change the title of my post for tomorrow -
What would you guys think if I did one called:
How Christmas Songs can inspire novels? :-)
I just got a whole premise in my head from the song, Santa Baby. LOL.

I've been looking forward to reading Colleen's new book. Please enter me! And we've already had a little dusting of snow and hard freeze in the NW, just before Thanksgiving. My kids' friends who were over one evening on TG break from college found themselves frozen out of their cars and had to spend the night. With video games, hot cocoa and homemeade cinnamon buns. Bummer. :-)

Thanks for the giveaways!

I love the cover of The Lightkeeper's Bride and would love to win Colleen's book. I'm always drawn to books having to do with lighthouses, the ocean or beaches, and if its an inspirational story, I love it even more. Thank you for the entry.

Many Holiday Blessings,

Sent here by Carman. =)

I love the summary of this book . . . sort of reminds me of the American Girl "History Mysteries" that I loved in middle school (except this has older characters and sounds like a more sophisticated plot).

Thanks for the chance to win!
